Job Stories From Chester County, PA
New fiber cement siding installation in Malvern, PA

This exterior home renovation was one of our biggest and best ever for this Malvern Home. We replaced the existing aluminum siding with James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding for a low maintenance and natural wood siding look. Next we installed a custom built front portico with AZEK columns and covered with a standing seam metal roof. We also removed 24 windows and installed brand new Infinity Fiberglass Windows by Marvin. These fiberglass windows are 8x stronger than vinyl and allow for nearly 30% more glass viewing space. In addition to the windows, we installed ProVia Stone Siding to create a one-of-a-kind exterior. And if that wasn’t enough we also installed a custom front door by ProVia. Just another reason, Global is the Tri-state’s premier home remodeler for replacement windows, siding and roofing.

New brown standing seam metal roof install in West Chester, PA

This West Chester, PA home featured an old tin metal roof that had been painted multiple times and was starting to really show its age. Instead of re-painting their 90+ year old metal roof, they decided to replace it with a custom made metal roof by Global. The homeowners went with a Mansard Brown Standing Seam roof which was more subtle than the colonial red metal roof they had prior. Instead of keeping their antiquated pool gutter system, we built out that portion of the roof and added a traditional gutter which was better suited to handle the rain.

New vinyl siding installation in Paoli, PA

For this homeowner, they had cedar siding and the maintenance was terrible, especially with all the wood peckers they get. Not only was it causing holes in their siding it was waking them up in the morning! That is why they went with a zero maintenance vinyl siding. This custom choice Pelican Bay vinyl siding to give them the Shake Look with the maintenance and woodpeckers. In addition to replacing the siding we also replaced and capped all the fascias and added brand new RainPro Seamless gutters.  The homeowner went with white trim, capping and corner posts to add a dramatic look to the vinyl shake siding.

New siding installation in Malvern, PA

In the 1970’s, there was a popular siding product that was used on contemporary homes as an alternative to wood siding. Fast forward to 2016 and homeowners are now replacing the compressed old siding board with beautiful James Hardie vertical siding. This project in Chester County, PA used Monterey Taupe Hardie Siding as well as Weathered Wood GAF Roofing. At Global Home Improvement, we specialize in contemporary homes with unique design elements. That is why we were able to accentuate the home’s siding by using James Hardie Trim around the windows and doors. This gave an extra element of geometry to an otherwise flat exterior.

Metal Slate Roof Installation in Avondale, PA
This Metal Slate roof installation in Avondale, PA, is a perfect example of why asphalt roofs are inferior to metal. This home's asphalt roof began to deteriorate after just 15 years. Shingles would blow off in the wind and you can see significant staining across the roof. Not only are our metal slate roofs lightweight but they are ultra durable; capable of withstanding weathering, wind, etc.

Another challenge was the valleys and skylights. We at Global Home Improvement pride ourselves on the time and focus we dedicate to proper flashing and proper water management. These homeowners decided to install snow guards as well for even more protection against snow build up.

James Hardie Fiber Cement Plank Installation in Malvern, PA

Marvin Infinity Windows Installation in West Chester, PA
For this Marvin Infinity window replacement in West Chester, PA, we replaced 24 of the home's existing vinyl windows with new Marvin fiberglass windows. A common problem with vinyl windows is for the seal to begin to fail, which is what happened to this home's windows. This means that hot air can escape the home in the winter and cool air can escape the home in the summer.

These low-maintenance, designer windows boost energy efficiency with their insulated glass. Their stronger frame also is more resistant to warping and cracking so a draft is much more unlikely to occur over time.
