This project featured a complete renovation including GAF Roofing, Hardie Shake Siding and Marvin Fiberglass Windows. This complex project took close to 4 weeks to complete but afterwards the homeowner was thrilled. The GAF roof featured lifetime Timberline HD shingles in a Driftwood color. The siding installation included removal of old asbestos siding and installation of new James Hardie Staggered Edge Shake Siding in Sandstone Beige. For the bottom half of the siding we replaced stucco with Hardie brand fiber cement stucco in Alpine Frost white. And finally, we installed brand new Fiberglass Replacement Windows by Marvin for energy efficiency and un-matched style. The windows are sierra color on the inside with a cashmere exterior that matches the Hardie Trim around the windows.
Removed existing metal roof with shake roof underneath. Installed colonial red standing seam roof and re-frame and replace pool gutter using stainless steel. Standing seam panel is mechanically seamed for low sloping roofs with a 1.5 inch high seam profile. This charming home in Plainfield, NJ received a complete roof makeover including new Owens Corning Duration Shingles as well as a Standing Seam Roof replacement over the front porch. As you can see in the before photo, this homeowner had an old outdated rubber roof which took away from the home’s curb appeal. To start the project we removed 2 layers of asphalt and cedar shake shingles and installed new 5/8 inch plywood before installing our lifetime Standing Seam Metal roof. To lock the standing seam panels we used a 180 degree mechanically seamed panel spaced 16” apart for a historically accurate look. The homeowner went with a Forrest Green Standing Seam roof mixed with a Metallic Copper Standing Seam for the dormer. The whole house then received half round gutters to match the forest green metal roof. Finally, we installed a custom painted snow guards to complete the look of this Wynnewood Metal Roof.
