Replacing Rotting Stucco with Fiber Cement and Stone in Schwenksville, PA Replacing Rotting Stucco with Fiber Cement and Stone in Schwenksville, PA

This stucco replacement in Schwenksville, PA is a prime example of why stucco is a terrible siding for PA homes. The wood under the stucco was rotting out, turning into mush. For a high-performance siding option, these homeowners chose Hardie Planks with a lovely mix of Heritage Stone. The finished product is as gorgeous as it is rot-resistant and durable.

New roof, siding and windows install in Narberth, PA

This project featured a complete renovation including GAF Roofing, Hardie Shake Siding and Marvin Fiberglass Windows. This complex project took close to 4 weeks to complete but afterwards the homeowner was thrilled. The GAF roof featured lifetime Timberline HD shingles in a Driftwood color. The siding installation included removal of old asbestos siding and installation of new James Hardie Staggered Edge Shake Siding in Sandstone Beige. For the bottom half of the siding we replaced stucco with Hardie brand fiber cement stucco in Alpine Frost white. And finally, we installed brand new Fiberglass Replacement Windows by Marvin for energy efficiency and un-matched style. The windows are sierra color on the inside with a cashmere exterior that matches the Hardie Trim around the windows.

New seamed metal roof in Blue Bell, PA

Have you ever owned a home that has a roof valley where 3 low sloping roofs join together? Your answer might be no, but this was exactly the case for a homeowner in Blue Bell, PA. Low sloping roofs can be a problem for asphalt shingles and roof valleys where multiple roofs converge. That is where the problem solvers at Global Home Improvement came in. Not only did we install a mechanically seamed metal roof throughout the house, but we designed a stainless steel valley that was soldered together to prevent any possibility of a leak. This project featured replacing an old asphalt roof with a new Metal Slate Roof! To lock the standing seam panels we used a 180 degree mechanically seamed panel spaced 16” apart for a historically accurate look. The homeowner went with a Forrest Green Standing Seam roof mixed with a Metallic Copper Standing Seam for the dormer. The whole house then received half round gutters to match the forest green metal roof. Finally, we installed a custom painted snow guards to complete the look of this Wynnewood Metal Roof.

Marvin Infinity Double Hung, Picture, and Half moon Window Installation in Collegeville, PA
This window replacement project in Collegeville, PA featured Marvin Infinity double hung, picture and half moon windows. The existing vinyl windows had a seal failure and began to drain the home's energy performance. This isn't an uncommon problem for vinyl windows because they expand and contract with the change of seasons. This means the vinyl is susceptible to warping and cracking, ultimately breaking the seal, compromising it's ability to insulate and keep drafts out.

Marvin Infinity's fiberglass frame is stronger and more durable than vinyl, so it won't expand and contract. This home won't see any issues with their windows seal failure and plus the thinner profile let's tons of light in, compared to the older, bulky vinyl windows.

Vermont Blue Metal Slate Roof, Tuscan Clay Beaded Insulated Vinyl Siding, Custom Marvin Infinity Double Hung Fiberglass Windows, and Rear Porch Portico Installation in Lafayette Hill, PA
For this home renovation project in Lafayette Hill, PA, we replaced the home's existing aluminum siding, asphalt shingles, and failing windows while building up a new rear porch portico. The first phase was tackling the roof and siding. The 20-year-old shingles had several leaks, so water management was a priority while boosting energy efficiency. This is where metal slate and insulated vinyl come in. This metal roof was built with a Deck Armor underlayment and an extra leak barrier for maximum protection. The extra layer of insulation helps to boost the home's ability to keep heat in the house in the winter and keep it out in the summer. When these pieces work with the new argon-insulated fiberglass windows, the boost to this home's energy efficiency is substantial.

The second phase of the project was the rear porch portico, covering that existing deck. We used white wood posts and used the same metal slate for the roof. The interior of the portico features a beautiful, intricate wood design and skylights.
