Pick neutral wall colors for a versatile bathroom

There’s no reason that your bathroom shouldn’t be redecorated as frequently as the other rooms in the home. A bathroom remodeling project is a great way to get into the interior design spirit.

You may be tempted to choose an exciting color that will make your bathroom stand out, but consider the implications. It may seem like a novel concept, but you may grow tired of a tomato red or neon blue space quickly. Decorating will be difficult, since you’ll have such a unique color. So why not feature neutral paint instead?

Have versatility in decor
Neutral hues allow you to work with bright colors without having to commit to them. Instead of painting the wall neon green, you can find a shower curtain of the same shade. It’ll be a big enough area to feature the fun shade without being overwhelming. Create a more cohesive visual atmosphere with accent pieces in the same color family. The bathroom has so many small vessels that you won’t have any trouble adding more items of the same shade. From toothbrush holders to soap dispensers, there’s an endless array of bathroom decor with which you can design!

White doesn’t have to be boring or plain if you incorporate some color into the space to go with it. An off-white will keep other brighter hues from being too much on the eyes. Contrast a light gray with fun shades around the bathroom. Remember that you don’t have to stick to just one color when it comes to decor. Pick two or three complementary colors

Consider a new shower or tub
Reward your commitment to bathroom design by investing in a new acrylic shower or tub. These come in a variety of colors, which will play a large role in the overall feel of the room. A pristine white tub will establish a neutral ground that can be offset by colorful tiling. On the other hand, a stark black tub will make any colors in the space pop. Think about which kind of effect you’d like to work with before making a decision.

Decorate year-round
With such an easy canvas, you’ll want to change up your designs frequently. Try to pace yourself with seasonal projects.
